Michelle Williams’ dad stops running from the government (both of them)

After two and a half years of trying to hide from the U.S. government in Australia, Larry Williams has consented to be extradite back to the U.S. to face federal tax-evasion charges.

Williams has been digging down under to try to hide from Uncle Sam who’s been after him for allegedly failing to pay $1.5 million in taxes from 1999 to 2001.

“I will fight this and win,” Williams, 65, told Australia’s Daily Telegraph before being taken into custody. “I will be back, I have a lot of friends here in Australia.”

I dunno Larry, when you flee the country and fight with not one but two governments wanting to bring you into custody, you might as well have tattooed a big guilty stamp on your face. Williams was arrested by the Australian police way back in 2006 but got out on bail and has been fighting to not come back to America ever since!

Williams, also the grandfather to Heath Ledger’s child has become somewhat of a prolific finance lecturer during his stay in the land down under but some how I think you might want to get a second opinion on any advice he gives with someone who’s not currently on his way to prison.

He was taken into custody this morning and will be shipped back to Los Angeles around Wednesday.
