John Mayer meets Jennifer’s Dad
by Juicy on Nov.20, 2008, under Celebrity News

Looks like things are escalating nicely for Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer.
Jen invited Mayer to meet her father, John Aniston, and step-mother, Sherry Rooney, at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge on Wednesday over dinner.
Onlookers said that “John and Jen held hands under the table. She would put her arm around him and he would reach up and grasp her hands. But John was fidgeting and texting under the table looking a bit nervous.”
“John spent a lot of time talking about his music philosophies — why certain decades have better music,” says the eyewitness. “He discussed his experiences with Aretha Franklin and made a joke about Tom Hanks.”
His nerves showed when Jen hit the powder room. John charmingly asked the table: “How am I doing?” Then cracked, “I am a wreck.” Everyone laughed and Jen’s step mom, whom Jen referred to as “mom” throughout dinner, said, “Should we get our score cards out? Like on Dancing With the Stars?” John replied: “Exactly. It feels like Dancing with the Stars.”
Another witness in the restaurant said “Jen’s dad seemed very impressed with John and the two got on real well.”
Now that John is getting more serious with her, maybe Jennifer will stop blabbing to anyone who will listen about her tiffs with Angelina that are over two years old. Get over it Jen!
Samro tells PETA to suck a big one

Samantha Ronson vented on her blog about the flour attack on Lindsay Lohan for wearing fur at a Paris Nightclub.
Flour Power
I posted a blog last week that angered some people who didn’t know how to read properly, I then wasted my own time defending myself and now I regret that.
There is a fine line that distinguishes the difference between exercising our freedom of expression and offending others, for example the debate regarding freedom of speech vs. hate speech…. i feel that this principle should apply to protestors also. It’s a pity that some groups feel the need to assault people as opposed to fighting with words.
Whenever I feel the need to vent about something that feels unfair to me I reach for my computer, I don’t run out of the house with abusive intentions. I don’t expect everyone to react the same way, but I do expect people to respect each other. Maybe that’s my first mistake? It seems lately I am learning that there are too many people who put another species before their fellow man and that’s sad. I don’t wear fur, but I don’t think I have the right to ATTACK those who do. No one has that right.
PETA should focus their efforts on educating people on what they believe are injustices instead of seeking press via harassing those in the limelight. I received an apology too many days late from the PETA folks (the blog removal was too little too late) and today I’m pissed at the bag of flour thrown on Lindsay last night. Not because I got powdered down, but because the girl who threw it acted like an animal herself. I take that back, it’s an insult to animals to group her in with them, my dog is FAR more civilized than that person. I would have more respect for them if they didn’t use other people to get their point across. Lindsay, Mary Kate, Ashley Olsen, Anna Wintour and the rest of the targeted celebrities aren’t the problem, I’m pretty sure they’re not the only ones wearing fur, in fact, they should be appreciated by PETA for giving them a target. If it weren’t for them, who would get them press?????
I know I’m probably going to get a lot of angry emails in response, but I don’t really care. I got enough last week for no reason so I’m more than happy to ignore the nastiness after seeing what I saw last night. I’m not about to throw on a fur coat in retaliation, but had I had one within reach, I’m not sure I would have walked away from it.
p.s. when was the last time you saw an animal attack one of its own in defense of a human? hmmmmm….. that’s one to grow on!
p.s.s. i think there are plenty of families that could have used that flour for a meal. nice job, lady.
Thoughts?
Wanda Sykes is proud to be gay
by Juicy on Nov.16, 2008, under Celebrity News

“You know, I don’t really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn’t feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life,” Sykes told a crowd at a gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Saturday.
“Everybody that knows me personally they know I’m gay. But that’s the way people should be able to live their lives,” she said.
Sykes, who is known for her feisty and blunt style, said the passage of California’s Proposition 8 made her feel like she was “attacked.”
“Now, I gotta get in their face,” she said. “I’m proud to be a woman. I’m proud to be a black woman, and I’m proud to be gay.”
Joe Jonas and Camilla take vacation in Mexico!
by Juicy on Nov.16, 2008, under Celebrity News, Inside a Celebrity's Head

Looks like things are getting serious fast!
The Jonas Brothers and Camilla Belle were photographed on the beaches of Cabo San Lucas on November 9.
“We are writing this from the beach…doing nothing! First time we have stopped in a while. Can’t get better than this. We are already feeling refreshed,” Joe, Kevin, and Nick wrote on their MySpace blog - the same day the pictures were snapped.
“This week was Kevin’s birthday so we took the last day to celebrate his birthday with family, the band, and a few friends,” they wrote. “It is so awesome to stop and appreciate all that has happened to us because of all of you.”
I wouldn’t doubt more “I’m having more fun than you are” photos surfacing from the Jonas and Taylor camps.

80 homes lost in Montecito Fire so far: Oprah feeling the heat
by Juicy on Nov.14, 2008, under Celebrity Babies

High overnight winds carry a blaze through Montecito, burning down over 80 multi-million dollar mansions. Though the fire is still blazing and firefighters are waiting for winds to die down in order to bring in helicopters to drop water on the area. Montecito, which is known for its celebrities, money, and ocean views has lost over 2,500 acres of it’s wealthy Santa Barbara community.
Oprah Winfrey’s 45-acre estate is said to be about three miles from the center of the blaze and has not been evacuated. Oprah is reported to be in Chicago, taping her show.
The fire started in Cold Springs around 6pm yesterday and was driven down hill by 70 mile an hour winds carrying embers of the fire, known as sundowner winds.
Firefighters say that the area is known for having lots of brush and trees which is not helping their situation.
Jonas Brothers Write letter about Taylor Swift: Most boring letter about a breakup ever
by Juicy on Nov.14, 2008, under Celebrity News

The “Jonas Brothers” released a letter to their fans on their blog about the breakup with Taylor Swift. Honestly it sounds so bland that I think a publicist wrote it for them and they just initialed it at the end.
It sounds more like unpleasent letter you’d get from your cable company than a real person trying to tell their side of a story.
Anyway, here’s what Jonas Brothers Inc. had to say.
To Our Fans from Joe, Kevin and Nick:
It is our normal rule to avoid talking about our private lives. It seems that it has come to the point where we must address a few things. We would prefer to address these things and then leave it alone from that point forward.
We felt like it was important to respond because recent events have affected our fans. It is important to us as artists and brothers to enlighten regarding this situation. Our fans are the most important thing to us.
There are rumors and suggestions that are being publicized in the press right now about us. Like all people our age we are trying to find someone special that we can share time with in our busy lives. We all have busy schedules and high demands. We love our life and are thankful for all that we have. We are simply stating that it is difficult to maintain relationships with the kind of life we live.
We love our fans and it is important to us to protect that relationship.
To Our Fans from Joe:
This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.
Several things I will state with all my heart…
I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.
For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.
There were later attempts at communication that had no response.
I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth.
Hope this helps enlighten a little.
We love you and miss you
